HELP US HELP YOU!
We must collectively step out of the shadows into the light! A big part of our stepping into the light together is the creation of a BBE database and local organizing committees across America.
ADD YOUR VOICE TO
JOIN BBEC’S DATABASE TODAY AND BECOME A SUPPORTER
Take two (2) minutes and input your information into the BBEC database. A database of Black-owned businesses is crucial to BBEC’s advocacy. Please ask 10 or more businesses in your network to take 2 minutes of their time to add their information to the BBEC database as soon as possible. Tell them to make sure they answer 'YES' to list me as a supporter. BBEC is working hard to facilitate the delivery of economic resources to Black communities across America. We need your support!
ORGANIZE A LOCAL
COMMITTEE IN YOUR STATE
CONVENE A LOCAL BBEC COMMITTEE IN YOUR STATE
Take two (2) minutes and sign up to be a local organizer. BBEC is looking for 3-5 like-minded individuals in states across America to convene local organizing committees. We cannot do this alone, so roll up your sleeves and commit 4-8 hours per week organizing your local community around the issue of Black business empowerment. When inputting your information in the database, be sure to answer 'YES' to list me as a supporter and contact me regarding convening a local BBEC committee. We need your support!
SEND A LETTER TO THE CONGRESSIONAL BLACK CAUCUS
BBEC is concerned that the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) did not represent the Black community well as Congress negotiated the funding of Coronavirus relief efforts. Please read our partner’s full analysis of the CBC's 'ASK' and if you agree with the analysis, download the template letter and send it to the CBC or write your own letter to let them know they will be held accountable for their actions and/or inaction. Tell them the Black community wants to know, are they the Congressional 'Black' Caucus or the Congressional 'Minority' Caucus?
